Remove EXIF
Strip GPS, camera model, and other EXIF by re-encoding the image on canvas.
How to use Remove EXIF
- Upload photos.
- Strip metadata.
- Download clean files.
What this tool accepts
- GPS and camera tags dropped
- Canvas re-encode
- Batch
Formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC
Phone JPEGs often contain GPS. Before you post a home photo, strip EXIF. IMG 4 FIX does it by encoding a new image so leftover APP1 segments cannot hitch a ride.
What you lose
Camera make, lens, date taken, and orientation tag. Pixels stay. If you need the date, copy it from the Metadata Viewer first.
Frequently asked questions
Is metadata really gone?
Re-drawing on canvas writes a new file without the original EXIF segment. That is the same approach privacy guides recommend for sharing.
