Compress to 60KB – File Size Cap
Re-encode until the download is at most 60 KB. Quality is searched automatically; huge photos are scaled down if the cap is tight.

Compress to 60KB means the download must stay at or under 60 KB. Searchers are usually staring at an error like “file too large,” not trying to become compression experts.
IMG4FIX re-encodes the photo as JPEG and, if that is still too heavy, scales the pixels down. The search is automatic. You can still nudge the target if a form uses 1000 KB = 1 MB instead of 1024.
Files stay in this browser tab. A 24 MP phone dump cannot become 5 KB without looking harsh — crop or resize the subject first when the cap is that small.
What compress to 60kb actually changes
It changes file size, not print centimeters. Pixels may drop if quality alone cannot hit the cap. That is different from “resize to 600×600,” which is a pixel box regardless of kilobytes.
50–100 KB is a common email-signature and LMS limit. A 1200-pixel-wide JPEG at moderate quality usually fits if you are not uploading a 12 MP original untouched.
How to hit 60 KB on this tool
Upload the original, not a screenshot of the original. Run the tool. Check the new size on the success row. If a portal still rejects the file, they may count 1000 bytes as 1 KB; shave a little more or ask them which definition they use.
Batch is supported. Each photo is fitted to the cap on its own.
When shrinking pixels beats lowering quality
A 6000-pixel wedding photo will still be huge at quality 40. Bring the long edge to something the form will actually display (often 800–1600 px), then encode. Doing it in one step here is the same idea: the auto pipeline scales when it must.
Frequently asked questions
Is 60 KB a maximum or an exact size?
A maximum. The encoder stops at or under the cap. Padding a file up to an exact byte count is a different tool (increase size in KB).
Will faces still be recognizable?
At 60 KB, maybe not if the original is a full-resolution camera file. Crop to the head and shoulders first for ID-style photos.
Does this upload the photo?
No. Encoding is local.
Can I keep PNG transparency?
The size-capped output is JPEG, which has no alpha. Flatten happens on white.
Why did my file stay larger than 60 KB?
Extremely simple graphics sometimes bottom out above a tiny cap, or the device ran out of downscale steps. Try a smaller crop.
