- JPEG out
- No iCloud round-trip
Formats: HEIC, HEIF
HEIC to JPG is one of iLoveIMG’s strongest converting landings because iPhone defaults to HEIC while the rest of the world still speaks JPEG. IMG 4 FIX decodes HEIC in WebAssembly/JS inside the tab, then exports JPEG.
Live Photos and bursts
This converter handles the still image. Live Photo video is a separate .mov. Burst frames should be converted one file at a time or as a batch of stills.
Color and orientation
The decoder applies a standard color conversion. If a photo looks rotated, use Rotate Image after conversion. EXIF orientation is not always present after a canvas export — the pixels are already upright when decode succeeds.
Frequently asked questions
Why do iPhone photos say HEIC?
iOS High Efficiency Image Format saves space. Windows, Gmail, and many websites still want JPEG.
Does the photo leave my phone?
The file is decoded in this browser tab. It is not uploaded to IMG 4 FIX servers.
